British scholar A.D.Carruthers came to Mongolia as a member of the British Imperial Geographical Society research expedition “British Central Asian Studies” team in 1910 -1912. He traveled to western Mongolia and the Uriankhai region (present day Tuva region), and collected a wealth of material on historical and ethnographic topics.
